The paper addresses to the problem of employing the methods and algorithms of structural analysis in the studies of electric power systems (EPS) expansion. The solution of the problem requires the use of mathematical models with two levels of system representation: the aggregated model of EPS is used at the upper level and more detailed models - at the lower one.
